Finding the best family vehicle can be a daunting task, but the 2016 Mazda3 hatchback is making that choice easier. Recently, Parent Magazine and Edmunds.com worked together to create a “Top 10 Family Vehicles of 2016” list, and the Mazda3 was awarded “Best Hatchback.”
Emphasizing the car’s design, safety, and practicality, Parent Magazine commended the hatch for its “international flair, [with] Italian curves, German handling, and the practicality you’d expect from a Japanese maker (no squeezing to install car seats).” Parent Magazine was particularly impressed by the space made by its 60/40 folding rear seats. They also praised the 3’s safety features, such as radar-based cruise control and Smart City Brake Support.
Edmunds recommends Mazda3 as an enjoyable ride that’s also incredibly safe, and stated that the well-tuned steering made for a comfortable drive, even with the tightest turns. Mazda’s numerous safety features, like the lane departure warning system and forward collision warning offered in the 3’s Grand Touring Technology package, were also praised by Edmunds.
With this car, Mazda says to “forget the word ‘compromise’ ever existed,” and indeed, the Mazda3 is practical, spacious, and handles well all at once. It sacrifices nothing, making it enjoyable for everyone.
