The 2017 Mazda Mx-5 Miata is so much more than a regular car — it’s an affordable sports car with good fuel economy, and a riot to drive. For those that want to feel the power in their palms and the wind in their hair, this car is perfect. On top of the classically aesthetic design, the 2017 models offer two different versions, the RF (Retractable Fastback), and the soft top roadster.
The Miata is neither aggressively fast nor supremely powerful, but is extremely explosive due to its lightweight build. The true beauty of driving this machine is in the way it handles and grips the ground. The steering is eager and tactical, making the ride very, very fun. A car this quick, low to the ground, and light gives the driver an experience that most cars cannot even come close to.

Another highlight of this car is its fuel economy. With it being so light, the 2017 Miata officially clocks in with a combined MPG of 30, but out performs this in real life. This would come to as a surprise to some because of the head turning purr of its engine. The 2017 has the option for a classic manual transmission or an automatic transmission that stuns most due to its smooth shifts and sporty programming. This model year sees the installation of a full-color driver-information display in the central console, retuned steering, and an almost soundless manual transmission.
The Miata’s 155 horsepower 2.0 liter four cylinder engine may look small on paper, but once again, this is no regular car. The 2017 has been tested going from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. This is a rev happy car that responds promptly to the slightest twitches of your pedal foot. This is a vehicle that isn’t applicable to the everyday driver, but for people that want to experience the road in a way that only a car like this can offer, it is the perfect enthusiast-friendly performance machine on the market.
