Spring, beautiful flowers, warmer temperatures, and a remarkable anniversary at O’Daniel Mazda — this month marks two decades for Service Manager Jesse Moore. We caught up with him to review the past twenty years, and see how he’s managed to laugh, and succeed through it all. Turns out, a good sense of humor will get you far in life.

What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned?
JM: “That even Donal Trump can be President! And the biggest difference between me today, and 20 years ago would be me having less hair and A LOT of it being grey (lol).”

How would you describe your work style?
JM: “Precise! Like a fine tuned instrument.—Joking!—My work style would be described as 'Touch it once.'  Save time where you can. Time is money. Everyone is my customer, both internal and external.”

Who has influenced you the most/ Who is your hero?
JM: “Hero? Easy, Batman—who else!? The person who most influenced me was the service manager that I worked for, for 13 years. I was very blessed to have a guy with that much knowledge and understanding. He was also a very fun guy!”

A very fun guy himself, Jesse also dropped a wisdom bomb on us: “Work harder today if you want tomorrow to be different.” Sound advice! Also, in three words, Jesse would describe himself as: “Determined. Energetic. Honest.” Sounds about right—his energy comes through in all his answers.

Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Jesse came to O’Daniel’s as part of the acquisition of Poinsette Motors in 1998. He stuck around because “they treat their employees as they do their customers; like family.”

Recommended reading?
JM: “Best books: The Greatest Salesman in the World and The Power of Noticing: What the Best Leaders See.”

In his free time, Jesse enjoys boating, skiing, and snowboarding.

What’s next?
JM: “I figure I have spent my fist 20 years here. The next 20 remains to be seen.”

We wish you all the best, Jesse, and to many more fun filled years with O’Daniel’s!
Congratulations on 20 years!
