The all-new flagship three-row crossover 2018 Mazda CX-9 SUV is turning heads with its long list of upgrades from prior models, including G-vectoring control and refinements, improved safety equipment, and highlight improvements. Only a small number of midsize, three-row crossovers were awarded the “Top Safety Pick+” rating from the 2017 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and the new CX-9 is in that group.

Adding to its accolades, the Mazda CX-9 was named a finalist for World Car of the Year and North American Utility Vehicle of the Year. The newest features include an improved second row for easier access to the third row, and sound insulation to make it one of the quietest models in its class. The new Smart City Brake Support can automatically apply brakes in emergency situations under 19 mph, in addition to Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert making it a safer vehicle overall.

G-Vectoring Control, new in the CX-9 model, uses the engine along with the steering and throttle inputs to help reduce engine torque, putting more weight on the front wheels, allowing for more direct steering. CX-9 Sport also features 18-inch alloy wheels, electronic parking brakes, cloth upholstery, standard LED headlights and tail lights, MAZDA CONNECT infotainment that includes Bluetooth audio streaming, phone pairing, and a 7-inch display screen.
The mid-level CX-9 Touring offers leather seating surfaces, Advanced Keyless entry, an 8-inch MAZDA CONNECT screen, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a built-in garage door opener, and a power lift gate!
There are also several other advanced features included in the other models of CX-9’s ranging from the Premium Package, Grand Touring, and Signature models. Regardless of the numerous options of CX-9 models, each and every one is sure to make any driver feel safe, in control, and undeniably comfortable.
