Mazda’s new 2018 CX-5 Compact SUV and CX-9 Crossover SUV outshine the rest with their smooth rides and sleek design.
Whether you are searching for a vehicle that is fuel-efficient, spacious, or just plain elegant, look no further than Mazda’s 2018 CX-5 or CX-9. Both were awarded a spot on Car and Driver Magazine’s 10Best Trucks and SUVs for 2018. This was yet another win for the CX-9 and a first-time win for the CX-5. What made them stand out among their competition? Mazda is known for its fuel economy, having been ranked by the EPA as the most fuel-efficient auto manufacturer for its 2015 fleet. Design, chassis dynamics, safety features, and body style were also reigning factors in this decision. It is no wonder that Mazda was awarded 2017 Best Car Brand by U.S. News and World Report.
The 2018 CX-5 was fitted with new upgrades such as cylinder-deactivation technology. This feature allows the two outside cylinders to shut down when they are no longer needed, increasing fuel-efficiency. Safety features such as the Smart City Brake Support automatic emergency braking have also been elevated through increased levels of I-ACTIVSENSE safety technology.
For the CX-9 there has been an increase in ease-of-use from the seat levers to how far forward the second row can slide, making it easier to access the third row seating. Noise reduction has been improved as well as G-Vectoring Control dynamics.
For both of these vehicles, these new features come standard. It is no wonder that they have been lauded for their smooth rides and fuel economy. U.S. News ranked the CX-5 second among Compact SUVs and declared that it “delivers performance without sacrificing ride quality”. They also noted the “upscale” cabin quality and how “fun” this vehicle is to drive.
Dan Frio, editor at Edmunds, called the CX—9 “more than just a pretty face” with its spacious interior that can “satisfy a growing family’s needs.”
With these two models alone, Mazda is sure to continue standing out among car manufacturers in the U.S. — Head over to O’Daniel Mazda, and test drive one today!
