Digital Motorsports fans who are seeking more excitement and a new race car to take for a thrilling spin can now brace themselves for Mazda’s newest virtual race car—the RX-Vision GT3 Concept.
The concept behind this virtual car came from the original Mazda RX-Vision concept car that was revealed at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. But in the GT3 version, the original design was made more aggressive—befitting a genuine race car. It was painstakingly designed to become the most beautiful FR sports car.
It also mounts a next generation 4-rotor “SKYACTIV-R” engine in the lightweight chassis to meet the requirement of engine output for its class.
The RX-Vision GT3 Concept holds true to performance requirements for race cars. Equipped in it is a large hood outlet that improves both aerodynamic performance and cooling, a front lower spoiler that controls cooling performance, not to mention, a rear spoiler and under diffuser that increases rear downforce and ensures rear wheel traction. It also boasts of an ideal 48:52 front-rear weight distribution.
This top-class virtual race car has been jointly developed with Polyphony Digital Incorporated. It has been playable in Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 4 driving simulation game, Gran Turismo since May 22, 2020.
When gamers choose Mazda vehicles like the RX3-Vision GT3 Concept, they will automatically be able to participate in the FIA certified Gran Turismo Championship. This will be conducted in various locations later this year.
