The 2020 Mazda CX-5, or “the most powerful CX-5 ever,” is introducing a new and improved turbo engine, along with several other cutting edge features.
Boasting elevated performance, the CX-5 boasts includes all kinds of notable features. Starting at $25,190, the Mazda CX-9 has an impressive 187 Horsepower and 186 lb-ft torque. Standard includes Lane Departure Warning System and Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection. With a significantly increased torque of 320 lb-ft at just 2,500 rpm, the available Skyactive-G 2.5T engine is capable of delivering 250 hp at 5,000 rpm.
The available Predictive i-Activ AWD is capable of predicting when all-wheel drive might be necessary. It does so by actively monitoring factors such as braking patterns, windshield wiper usage, outside temperature, throttle input, and steering patterns. As a result, the CX-5 can then preemptively optimize power to the wheels, ultimately helping maintain constant and reliable traction. On the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature models, Off-road Traction Assist optimizes torque distribution and traction control, helping the driver easily traverse uneven terrain.
With the CX-5 dynamic Drive Selection, the power is in the driver’s hand. By choosing Sport mode, the CX-5’s acceleration becomes even more responsive, proving highly beneficial when passing or merging into fast-moving traffic.
Standard on the CX-5 is the Skyactiv-Vehicle Dynamics with G-Vectoring Control Plus.
