In addition to its styling, the Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) announced the addition of the turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine to the 2021 CX-30 on September 17, 2020.
This 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5 Turbo engine elevates capability and performance with impressive craftsmanship and design and new advanced technologies. The 2.5 Turbo will deliver a significant 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque with premium (93 octane) fuel. Or, you can choose to have 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque with regular (87 octane) fuel. To expand the capabilities of the adored CX-30, the turbo engine will be combined with standard i-Activ all-wheel-drive system with off-road traction assist.
To complement the modern, sophisticated design while also providing occupants with peace of mind, advanced technologies will be available on the 2021 CX-30 2.5 Turbo. For example, to help a driver by automatically applying brakes when the vehicle is reversing at specific speeds if an obstacle is detected, the new i-Activesense safety features will include Smart City Brake Support Reverse equipped with Rear Cross-Traffic Braking. Additionally, a new support feature, the Traffic Jam Assist, improves the Mazda Radar Cruise Control by providing steering inputs that will ultimately assist the driver in staying within lane marks at speeds under 40 mph. Also available is the 360 View Monitor with high-definition digital clarity. The CX-30 2.5 Turbo also includes Active Driving Display, Adaptive Front-Lighting System, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Looking at the interior of the vehicle, Mazda focuses on offering a natural feel while driving. From the location of the Bose 12-speaker audio system, the proportions of the 8.8-inch large center display, and the steering wheel controls, this focus is highlighted and felt in every detail.
