For the past few years, electric cars have taken the automotive industry by storm. A series of high-profile electric car releases have shown that sustainable transportation is becoming mainstream soon. One of the latest cars from a major manufacturer to feature electric technology is the 2022 Mazda MX-30 EV. Already known as a sporty, economical brand, Mazda is innovating further by incorporating new, sustainable technologies into their lineup.

The MX-30 EV is a great option for commuters and urban residents to get efficiently from point A to point B. It features a 100 mile range, and an electric battery to minimize environmental impact. Some may feel that 100 miles is too short a range for many to feel comfortable with, but to address this, Mazda has created the MX-30 Elite Access Loaner Program, giving owners access to other cars in the Mazda lineup for when they want to take a longer trip. Additionally, Mazda has partnered with Chargepoint, one of the world’s largest charging networks, to give owners a $500 credit towards an at-home charger or towards existing chargers in the Chargepoint network.

Even apart from innovations in energy and efficiency, the MX-30 EV features many attractive characteristics. Following cues from past Mazdas, this model incorporates Kodo design language to remain cohesive with the rest of the lineup. On the inside, Mazda has thoughtfully chosen design features that reflect the MX-30 EV’s environmentally-friendly status. The sustainable interior trim made out of cork provides luxury while paying homage to the car’s sustainable ethos. The doors and seats also include recycled materials.

Aesthetics and materials aside, the MX-30 EV includes convenience features such as USB audio inputs and a 150W AC power outlet. The infotainment system provides further control and connectivity. The 2022 Mazda MX-30 EV represents what the future of cars will look like. Without sacrificing any functionality, comfort, or technology, this Mazda provides a sustainable alternative to the large crossover market.
