The entry-level 2.5 S Package offers an array of convenience, premium safety, and modern technology amenities. With two USB ports, remote keyless entry with push-button start, and wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration, the CX-50 2.5 S is a highly convenient choice for long trips. Other standard features include an 8.8-inch full-color console display, eight-speaker audio system, and more that add comfort to all rides, both long and short.
Exterior of the CX-50 features 17-inch Gray Metallic alloy wheels, dual exhaust outlets, rear roof spoiler, LED headlights, and more. As for the powertrain, the 2.5 S package comes with a Skyactiv-G 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and standard i-Activ AWD system with Mi-Drive with Sport and Off-Road mode with an overall towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.
Take it a step above with the 2.5 S Preferred Package offers additional convenience and comfort for drivers. To name a few features, owners of the CX-50 2.5 S Preferred can expect to receive heated side-view mirrors and windshield wipers, front and rear center armrest with storage, power rear liftgate with programmable height adjustment, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support, and heated front seats. Next is the 2.5 S Preferred Plus Package, which offers even more to drivers. It adds upgrades to the Preferred with a power-sliding panoramic moonroof with one-touch open and close feature. This is the first time Mazda has offered this feature, offering drivers an exciting opportunity to connect with nature in a new way.
For those looking for additional luxury, the Premium Package could be a perfect fit, with features such as six-way power adjustable front passenger seat, and leather seating surfaces. Furthermore, audio and radio experience is truly transformed in this package. The Premium Package features a Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system with Centerpoint® and AudioPilot®, SiriusXM satellite radio with three-month trial subscription, roof-mounted shark fin antenna, and audio-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink®. The Premium Plus Package is a step above and is unique from the Premium Package by offering 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with machine-cut black metallic accent and automatic power folding side-view mirrors. The interior is upgraded as well with the addition of ventilated front seats and full color Active Driving Display projected on the windshield.
The 2.5 Turbo Package is a great match for those wanting higher performance. In this package, we see Mazda’s Skyactiv-G 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a response Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. We also see steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters that work to enhance the performance experience of the 2023 CX-50. From a design standpoint, we see a beautiful terracotta interior color with orange stitching inspired by the beauty of nature. We see additional exclusive design elements on the exterior, including unique Turbo badging, larger exhaust pipes, LED taillights, and Adaptive LED front lighting system with LED auto-leveling headlights. The Turbo Premium Package takes things a step further by adding the same premium audio experience we see in the regular Premium Package, as well as active driving display, heated steering wheel, and ventilated front seats. Another step up brings us to the Turbo Premium Plus Package, which offers an array of features in addition to all the standard features listed above. Some of these features include a frameless, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink®, heated rear seats, wireless phone charger in center console, Mazda Navigation System and Active Driving Display with traffic sign recognition projected on the windshield.
Last but most certainly not least, we can expect to see the 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition joining the other packages. Launching later in the year, the Meridian Edition simply embodies the adventurous feeling of being one with nature.
