This recognition reinforces Mazda's unwavering commitment to advanced safety, a commitment that goes beyond mere compliance to set new benchmarks for vehicle safety in the industry.

Earlier in the year, the 2023 Mazda 3 sedan, Mazda3 hatchback, and Mazda CX-30 had already secured IIHS's lower-tier TOP SAFETY PICK award. Undeterred by past success, Mazda implemented system enhancements in these models for the 2024 model year, resulting in superior ratings in IIHS's pedestrian crash avoidance ratings, including the newly introduced nighttime tests.
To earn the coveted TOP SAFETY PICK+ in 2023, a vehicle must achieve excellence in various aspects, including driver-side and passenger-side small overlap front tests, original moderate overlap front tests, and updated side tests. Furthermore, the vehicle must feature acceptable or good headlights standard across all trims, along with a front crash prevention system that attains advanced or superior ratings in both daytime and nighttime vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.
Mazda's commitment to safety is evident not just in its pursuit of the TOP SAFETY PICK+ awards but also in the comprehensive safety features incorporated as standard equipment across all models.
