Job Summary:
The Auto Parts Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to customers in need of automotive parts, accessories, and supplies. They will assist customers in finding the right parts for their vehicles, provide technical assistance, process orders, and maintain accurate inventory records. The Auto Parts Advisor will work closely with the service department, sales staff, and management to ensure customer satisfaction and department profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products
• Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone or email
• Provide technical assistance and answer questions about automotive systems
• Use computer systems to look up and order parts
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock shelves
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and promote additional sales
• Communicate with service department to ensure timely delivery of parts
• Assist with customer returns and warranty claims
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in automotive parts sales or related field preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Proficient in computer systems and ability to learn new software
• Ability to lift and move heavy items
• Valid driver's license

Working Conditions: The Auto Parts Advisor will work in a retail environment, often standing for extended periods of time. They will also be required to lift and move heavy items and may be exposed to hazardous materials such as chemicals and solvents. The work schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
