In the recent tribulation of Hurricane Harvey, families all over have been struck with hardship and heartache. Hurricane Harvey continues to threaten Texas, as well as the entire Gulf Coast with horrendous rains and relentless flooding. Employees of Mazda, dealers, their families, customers, friends, and others have become victims of Hurricane Harvey. Thankfully many organizations such as the American Red Cross are working tirelessly to provide safe shelter and comfort to the hundreds of thousands of impacted citizens.
The Mazda Foundation (USA), Inc. and Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) saw their employees and the community hurting. Eager to lend a hand, they donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief fund to help those who are impacted by this unfortunate event.
This is not the first time the Mazda Foundation and MNAO have reached out to those in need. Both of them are long term partners with the American Red Cross. Over the years the MNAO has become a $1 million member of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP). Through this membership Mazda plays a role in the assurance that the Red Cross has the resources and funds to respond to those in need. The Red Cross responds to disaster needs no matter the size, small or large, they are always helping people in any way they can.
